In the offer of the Prodnik Guesthouse, we pay most attention to the preparation of traditional Upper Savinja and other Slovenian dishes according to old recipes and using the best ingredients, many of which are grown on our eco farm.

Every morning, the oven smells of fresh semi-white bread and our specialty, buckwheat bread with walnuts, for which we received the silver and gold awards of the Goodness of Slovenian Farms. By prior order, we also bake buckwheat.

Our homemade Savinja stomach, carefully prepared from hand-cut pieces of bacon and the best parts of pork and traditionally dried on wooden boards, will delight you. Served in thin slices, optionally accompanied by homemade pork pâté , cheeses from the surrounding mountains and a sour side dish, which also includes homemade asparagus marinated in vinegar. Prodnik's Savinja stomach received the silver award of the Goodness of Slovenian Farms.

In addition to mushroom and beef soup with homemade noodles, we also offer asparagus soup in the spring, and onion soup on request. Potato salad is recommended for the Upper Sava žlinkrof, stuffed with bacon, sausage, roast meat and spices.

In the varied offer of desserts, buckwheat dumplings with walnuts served with sweet cream and cheese dumplings, which our guests prefer with walnut or caramel topping, stand out.

Where to Find Us?

You can find us along the Savinja River, between Okonina and Radmirje, on the main road from Celje to Logarska Valley.
