Asparagus

In the season from April to June, the Prodnik organic farm freshly serves homemade green asparagus, prepared in many ways – from soups, risottos and pasta to meat dishes and special plates for two. A special feature of our offer are also pickled asparagus, awarded with the gold award of the Delicacy of Slovenian Farms.

On the Prodnik eco farm, we grow homemade green asparagus and serve it daily fresh to our guests from April to June.

They are prepared in many ways, but the most delicious are asparagus soup, fried or grilled asparagus , with bacon and spicy sauce mixed with eggs, in risotto or in sauce to accompany wide noodles. You can also want a Viennese fried turkey steak stuffed with asparagus, pork medallions with asparagus sauce or beefsteak au gratin with asparagus and gorgonzola.

For true lovers, we recommend the asparagus plate (for two people), which contains as many as five of the dishes listed above.

With the cold cuts of the homemade Savinja stomach, we serve a sour side dish, which also includes our homemade asparagus marinated in vinegar, for which we received the gold award of the Delicacies of Slovenian Farms.

Where to Find Us?

You can find us along the Savinja River, between Okonina and Radmirje, on the main road from Celje to Logarska Valley.
