Guesthouse Prodnik

At the Prodnik Guesthouse, we have been swearing by the good and the domestic for 30 years. We pamper our guests with traditional homemade delicacies, and we also offer other specialties according to our own recipes

- homemade soups and appetizers,

- meat dishes (Pebble plate, grilled beefsteak or pepper sauce, cordon bleu, grilled pork, veal and turkey meat, Viennese style and in various sauces, ...),

- fish dishes (salmon, squid in various ways and Savinja trout, grilled or Trieste),

- pizzas, meatless dishes, homemade noodles with porcini mushrooms, gorgonzola or tomato sauce and children's plates,

- salad plates with tuna, seafood or turkey noodles,

- a wide selection of desserts, from homemade buckwheat or cheese dumplings to six-way pancakes, ice creams and fruit piles, and daily desserts; On request, we can also prepare a Pohorje omelette, salt gray spoons or homemade strudels with various fillings,

- seasonal dishes and daily snacks (Tuesday to Friday) and lunches

- By prior arrangement, we can also prepare many other dishes.

Days of Homemade Asparagus

Every spring, we are happy to invite you to the Days of Homemade Asparagus, which we grow on our eco farm Prodnik. Asparagus is something special with us – we prepare it in different, original and seasonally inspired ways, which is why we have become recognizable far and wide. If you like to try something new, but at the same time homemade, you are in the right place with us.

Our restaurant is the heart of our home, and it is for this that most people know us. We prepare food with quality, tradition and homeliness in mind – we produce a lot of vegetables and other ingredients ourselves, and we are happy to get the rest from proven local producers. We believe in short delivery times, freshness and flavors created by nature.

We will serve you in a warm and traditionally decorated guesthouse, with a view of the Savinja River, which you can also enjoy on one of our terraces just above the water.

With us, you are welcome both as a couple and in company – we host larger groups, weddings, celebrations, we offer the rental of a picnic area or we organize a picnic for you with all the service.

For smaller closed groups, we like to diversify the visit with a tasting of Slovenian wines in our wine cellar, where everything comes together even more beautifully with a good glass.
